Hello friends and family. I have hopped on the wagon and joined the blogging movement. For those of you who know me well are laughing to yourself as I eat my words that I would never be a blogger. I might enjoy reading others blogs but I always imagined that I would feel stupid writing one. And truth be told, I do feel a little silly. I also really miss being in school and having the chance to learn new things. Since becoming a college grad and new mom, I find that many of the hobbies I once enjoyed (dancing, performing, ceramics, bowling, school-ing) are no longer available or possible living on a student budget. I'm hoping the birth of this blog will satisfy my need to learn something while also giving you, dear reader, some enjoyable information about our family and what we are up to. Well mostly Liam, because let's face it, he's way more interesting. So... here's to trying something new. We'll see if it sticks.

This week I've had several moments when it's really hit me that I'm no longer a student. When I'm up on campus I can sense the tension and see the anxiety written on the faces of the students facing finals this week. I'm also living with a student who is in the throes of a horribly stressful finals week. Poor Ian. This anxiety is contagious until I realize that I can breathe a little easier knowing that I'm past that. I'm thankful for these times moments that remind me that I'm glad I'm no longer a student. Another reason why I'm happy to be done with school...

That's right, this little boy! Being his mom is the best thing in the world, and I couldn't be happier to be with him all day and take care of him. He brings so much joy to us, I can't imagine our family without him. He is growing so fast and quickly becoming his own little person. Every day he becomes more aware and curious of his surroundings. We love watching him grow up. I can't believe how quickly the time has gone by to think he is already ten weeks old!
